Here's a random list of 10 things I learned this week.
1. My Gerber pocket knife is VERY sharp.
2. However, you should not use it to trim houseplants.
3. Medical grade superglue is purple!
(All this I learned on Monday. It was a very informative day.)
4. Our new full-time staff person leaves very promptly at 5:00, no matter if you are ready to take the desk or not. (It'll be interesting to see how she handles the reference desk.)
5. One of our regular patrons is mad at the Library because she didn't get the full-time job. (Having also not got the position, I'm not very sympathetic.)
6. Having made and tasted homemade crackers makes me never want to buy boxed crackers again.
7. How to make a blanket without a pattern.
8. BBQ chicken does not go good with spinach and tomato pasta.
9. I can buy 3 pairs of jeans, a shirt and a sugar dispenser for under $25 at the consignment shop.
And finally....
10. What diverticulitis is.
